Xero's API and shared components have now been migrated successfully to AWS. We will continue to monitor performance but if you are experiencing any issues please raise a ticket and we will look into this asap. Thanks for your patience and understanding while we worked through the final issues with the migration. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.

Update
We have an interim solution in place for the API issue we've been experiencing. Xero's API is now operational, however please be aware that our API Partners using our ecosystem applications, and our Practice applications: Xero Practice Manager, WorkflowMax, Workpapers, and Tax may experience some degraded performance or slowness. Our teams are continuing to work on a final resolution that sees our API and Practice tools up and running at full expected performance levels. Thanks again for your patience while we continue to resolve these issues. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

We have a global outage planned for 6am Sunday 21 August 2016 New Zealand Time. This outage will affect all customers and all parts of Xero.

We are in the process of moving Xero to a new hosting platform on AWS. Now that we have migrated over half our customers we need to move some of the shared application components including the public API.

We estimate that the migration will take a few hours. We’ll be regularly updating this status page, so please check back here for more information and ETAs for being back online on the day.
